KS AuthentiCare Update:
IMPLEMENTATION DATE MOVED FROM JANUARY 9TH to JANUARY 16TH.
By now you are probably aware that the state is replacing the current paper timesheet with an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system known as KS AuthentiCare. KS AuthentiCare is a requirement for all Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) consumers and their Direct Support Workers (DSWs). The system requires the DSW to use the consumer’s home phone to call KS AuthentiCare’s toll free number at the begining and end of each visit to record the check-in and check-out times. On Monday January 16th, 2012 the DSW will be required to start using the new telephone system called KS AuthentiCare.
We have posted a document for families and workers that provides Information and Assistance on Using the KS Authenticare system for recording visits.
- KS AuthentiCare Instructions for MR/DD Waiver
- KS AuthentiCare Instructions for FE Waiver
- KS AuthentiCare Instructions for TA Waiver
The document includes:
- Check-in/Check-out Procedures for Direct Support Workers.
- Activity codes to document the services provided.
- A letter sent to FMS Providers from KS AuthentiCare discussing the change.
- Frequently Asked Questions relating to check-in/check-out and visits.
